24 Frames For Queer

Published on Wednesday, March 13, 2024

What is the project about?

For this project, we want to bring together 14 young people from Germany and Poland to create a safer space for learning and experimenting with the art of animation. You will share ideas about radical art-making and will learn skills of storytelling and animation filmmaking. The workshop will take place over 7 days and will include group discussions of art’s place in the political world. We will brainstorm together what themes are important to us as queer people, and which of those is important to communicate right here and now. We will then learn about effective storytelling, followed by an introduction to animation techniques. Finally, each participant will create their own 10-30 second under-camera animation component to a collective and cohesive film from the group with a collective theme.
